VMRO-DPMNE Claims Two Councils in Judiciary have Broken Law

VMRO-DPMNE MP Mile Lefkov said on Saturday that the Judicial Council’s 24 October appointment of its member, Antoaneta Dimovska, also as one of the Managing Board of the Academy for Judges and Prosecutor was illegal.

“Article 44 of the Law on Prevention of Corruption and Conflict of Interests prohibits an elected or named person from serving simultaneously as a member of a managing organ of a public enterprise, public institution or other legal entity with state capital. Members of the Judicial Council and Council of Public Prosecutors are elected and named persons, which means they are not allowed to hold office within managing organs such as the Academy’s Board,” he stated.

According to VMRO-DPMNE, it’s also suspicious that Dimovska and SDSM MP Snezana Kaleska-Vanceva are sisters.

“SDSM should say what its involvement is,” the MP stressed, adding that not only Dimovska should resign from the position, but also the Council should be collectively held liable.

On Sunday, Lefkov held another press-conference, saying the Council of Public Prosecutors, too, had broken the law, with its appointment of the body’s President, Dusica Dimitrieska, as a member of the Academy’s Board as well.
