Commenting, off the record, on the formation of Parliament’s Commission for Monitoring Equitable Representation of Ethnic Communities, VMRO-DPMNE representatives have told Sitel that the formation is a result of a political deal with DUI, that is, it’s been done in exchange for support from Ali Ahmeti’s party for the legal changes to form the new ministries.
On the record, VMRO-DPMNE stated on Tuesday that the vote in Parliament would not save DUI officials suspected of crimes committed during their time in power.
In response to criticism from SDSM and Levica that the body actually represents an upgraded and institutionalised Balancer tool, VMRO-DPMNE said on Wednesday that both parties had demonstrated complete ignorance of laws and procedures.
