VMRO-DPMNE Comments on Issue of Use of Country Name

On Monday, VMRO-DPMNE told RFE Macedonian that it was carefully following reactions related to the use of the constitutional name, stressing that NATO and EU membership was a strategic goal of the party, which would respect the Constitution as the future government.

“The overall institutional communication, as well as the institutions themselves that are related to the Prespa Agreement’s implementation, are a reality and, as the future government, we intend to behave that way, according to the Constitution and laws.

We will not allow isolation of citizens due to the strategic mistakes of SDSM/DUI, which, to cover up their crime and corruption, sign disastrous agreements. Using ‘Macedonia’ and ‘Macedonian’ during personal and colloquial use is a fundamental human right and we will hold on to that right,” the party noted.

As the future government, VMRO-DPMNE explained, it honestly intends to develop close and friendly relations with all neighbours.
