VMRO-DPMNE Leader Mickoski in Interview with TV21

In an interview with TV21, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski says that Alliance for Albanians leader Arben Taravari entering the presidential race will provoke DUI into having a candidate.

“I think it’s good and sound for democracy in Macedonia for there to be more candidates,” he points out, adding that citizens will have more opportunities.

Regarding the parliamentary elections, Mickoski stresses that he will not be surprised if DUI is defeated. VMRO-DPMNE’s desired partner, he says, is the ethnic Albanian opposition, that is, Taravari, BESA leader Bilall Kasami, Alternative leader Afrim Gashi, and Democratic Movement leader Izet Mexhiti. Mickoski expects VMRO-DPMNE to win 53-54 MP seats.
