VMRO-DPMNE Leader Mickoski in Interview with VoA Macedonian

In an interview with Voice of America (VoA) Macedonian, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan MIckoski says that so far, he hasn’t had any official confirmation about the elections date issue, nor has there been any confirmation whether the two election processes would be held simultaneously.

He reiterates his stand that there should be simultaneous elections. Mickoski points to the start of May as a potential framework for a solution to be found.

Asked about potential coalitions with the ethnic Albanian bloc and about the so-called May agreement, Mickoski states that the so-called winner-with- winner coalition deal no longer applies because DUI broke it, adding that the ethnic Albanian opposition, too, should be given a chance for a coalition.

In Mickoski’s view, it’s sound and useful for DUI to be part of the opposition for a certain period of time.
