VMRO-DPMNE leader Mickoski on O’Brien’s Comments

In the interview with the 360 Degrees show, broadcast on Monday on MTV1, VMRO- DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski was asked about US Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien’s metaphoric comments, also with 360 Degrees, regarding the EU path, that he would not buy a car from someone who did not say what the offer was.

Mickoski believes the interviewer asked a leading question. “He manipulated in terms of VMRO-DPMNE in the question that doesn’t correspond to VMRO-DPMNE’s positions and stands,” Mickoski said.

As he added, the US official didn’t mention VMRO-DPMNE anywhere. According to the VMRO-DPMNE leader, his party has principles and stands regarding the matter.

“We will tell that to citizens in the frames of the campaign. If we get the trust of citizens and it is founded on that stand, we will function that way too,” Mickoski stated.

Asked how that would impact the EU path, Mickoski said that the last meeting in Brussels had shown that if there was political will, a lot of things could be more different.
