VMRO-DPMNE Levels New Accusations over NGO Grant Case

VMRO-DPMNE has made new accusations over the case concerning the grant, worth over 600,000 euros, received, as part of the NGO sector, by the wives of Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi and Intelligence Agency Director Erold Musliu.

On Monday, MP Dragan Kovacki stated that five days after the money transfer, a change had been made in the Central Registry.

“Just five days after the money had been received, Bytyqi’s wife erased her name as one of the authorised persons of her NGO, with a change made in the Central Registry. However, that doesn’t change the fact that Bytyqi was the Deputy PM during the session of the Government when the decision was made for the National Committee to sign a Memorandum with the Consortium that is being given a foreign grant at a time when his wife is still an NGO head. The influence peddling was committed with a decision of the Government,” the VMRO-DPMNE MP said.

The SCPC considered the case in June of 2023, but found nothing illegal.
