On Monday, the “Who’s Next?” initiative organized a protest march in Skopje.
Milena Janevska of the initiative stated that what was expected was media support, transparency of investigative organs, as well as accountability of everyone related to the Kocani fire and all previous tragedies.
“We are taking to the streets because the voice of the people should be heard. Every revolt by citizens is justified”, she noted.
Earlier that day, a protest had been held in Tetovo too, where participants called for accountability also over other cases, including the 2021 Tetovo hospital fire, as well as the 2019 Laskarci and 2021 Struma bus accidents. There were protests in other cities too.
