WJP Rule of Law Index: North Macedonia Ranked 67th

In the 2023 World Justice Project (WJP) Rule of Law Index, published on Wednesday, North Macedonia is ranked 67th out of 142 countries, with an overall score of 0.53, as was the case in the previous three years.

In the areas “Constraints on Government Powers”, “Absence of Corruption”, and “Criminal Justice” the country is ranked 97th, 75th, and 72nd, respectively.

Though the overall score is the same when compared to last year, the country has fallen four spots and is now behind countries such as Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Ghana, and Senegal.
