ZNAM Leader and Kumanovo Mayor Dimitrievski Meets Russian Ambassador

On Friday, ZNAM leader and Kumanovo Mayor Maksim Dimitrievski said on social media Russian Ambassador Sergei Bazdnikin had paid a protocolary visit to the Municipality.

The meeting, according to Dimitrievski, saw multiple current topics discussed, with an emphasis on learning Russian in the frames of primary and secondary schools on Kumanovo’s territory.

In interview, asked about the issue of Russian influence in North Macedonia and Dimitrievski’s meeting with Ambassador Bazdnikin, VLEN co-leader Arben Taravari says it is the same as DUI leader Ali Ahmeti’s ones with Ambassador Bazdnikin.

“Mister Ahmeti has publicly said he met multiple Ambassadors of Russia several times, which is a personal matter of his. I think our government has a pro-EU orientation. Russia will be present in Macedonia if America and the EU are not here,” Taravari stresses.
