ZNAM Starts Talks with VMRO-DPMNE for Joining New Ruling Majority

VMRO-DPMNE officially started on Sunday negotiations with ZNAM for their eventual participation in the new government.

VMRO-DPMNE vice-presidents Vlado Misajlovski and Timco Mucunski had a meeting on Sunday with ZNAM vice-presidents Vesna Bendevska and Pavle Arsovski.

From ZNAM they briefly reported that the two parties are very close to a deal for ZNAM to eventually join the new ruling majority, but talks are yet to be made about ZNAM eventually getting a ministerial or other high official position.

Having in mind that VMRO-DPMNE is finalising the negotiations with VLEN for forming a ruling alliance too, the ruling majority, if all parties agree to join forces, will count 78 MPs, which will be almost a two third majority.

In the new government, according to party sources, VLEN will take over the position of Parliament Speaker, as well as 4 Deputy PM positions and 4 ministerial positions.
