Reactions to Macedonia-Greece Name Deal Continue

The reactions to the name agreement reached between Macedonia and Greece have continued in both countries. “The highest national interests have been jeopardised by the disgraceful deal with Greece. PM Zoran Zaev has given up on all national positions defended by previous governments and politicians, regardless of their political affiliation,” VMRO-DPMNE said on Tuesday. SDSM rejected the accusations. “The final agreement guarantees the Macedonian identity, language and individuality. The European perspectives are being opened as well,” Zaev’s party stated. In Greece, Independent Greeks MP George Lazaridis resigned over the deal, Proto Thema reported.
