Zaev urges All Macedonian and Bulgarian citizens to Contribute to Friendship

Commenting on the reactions from Bulgaria to his statement about the Ilinden Uprising, PM Zoran Zaev said on Monday that the political interests and sheer populism should be removed from the Macedonia-Bulgaria cooperation. “I urge all of us together to remove the political interests, the sheer populism or what really causes to be not enough careful because the deal on friendship, cooperation and good-neighbourliness confirmed that through our signatures there, but we need to foster and build on that,” he stated. Zaev was also asked whether they would agree on which country the Uprising belongs to. “We already mark part of our joint history. That, too, is part of our joint history,” the PM underlined, urging all citizens of the two countries to be careful and contribute to joint friendship.
