Trial over Monster case: Protected witness Says he saw Four bodies

The trial over the Monster case, which concerns the 2012 Smiljkovci killings, continued on Friday. The protected witness, with the pseudonym E1, said they had seen four bodies. They didn’t know whether they are dead or not. E1 added that they didn’t see who fired either. E1’s identity remains a secret because they are afraid. The defence suspects that E1 is a police officer that isn’t telling the truth because a part of the answers doesn’t match their statement in the previous process. The relatives of the killed boys were satisfied by E1’s statement. He recognised several of them and said they were at Lake Smiljkovci exactly on 12 April. Regarding the two defendants who are in Kosovo, Alil Demiri and Afrim Ismailovic, the Justice Ministry has started an extradition procedure.
