A debate titled “The Prespa Agreement: International Significance and Implications for the Euro-Atlantic Integration Processes of the Republic of Macedonia” was held on Tuesday at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU). In his address, PM Zoran Zaev said that the Prespa Agreement affirms the Macedonian identity and language. “Greece recognized our identity. Our language will be freely used everywhere, in the UN, NATO, EU etc. We believe we have an honourable agreement that affirms our identity and secures our future,” Zaev said. FM Nikola Dimitrov reiterated Zaev’s statement, and called upon the members and followers of the opposition party VMRO-DPMNE to support the upcoming referendum on the Prespa Agreement and vote in it.
