Reacting to VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski’s call for a TV duel, PM Zoran Zaev said during the press conference with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci that he accepts the offer. “I am prepared to accept a duel with Mickoski when he clearly rejects the referendum boycott. These positions put Macedonia’s future in delusion. Macedonia’s future deserves discussions on this issue and therefore boycotting the country’s future is not a ground for any talks,” Zaev said. This was followed by a reaction from VMRO-DPMNE. “Zaev should demonstrate courage and accept the TV face-off. For him, it is easy to lie to SDSM activists that all will become better as soon as the referendum is over, but he cannot lie to the entire public on national television,” writes the reaction of VMRO-DPMNE. Mickoski reacted himself to Zaev’s statement via a Facebook status, saying that only if Zaev accepts a TV duel with him, he will reveal his position about the referendum at the end of that duel.
