In the region, we are not exporters of instability toward Europe, but we are indeed a transit zone when it comes to smuggling of drugs, weapons as well as radicalization. Thus, we want to contribute to full stabilization and increasing the level of security across the European territory all the while making a clear distinction that the issues aren’t produced here. We are obliged to prevent this transit processes and as a result we want to establish better national coordination and regional cooperation in this field. This was stated Wednesday by Goran Svilanovic, Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC). Svilanovic and Macedonian Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski addressed Wednesday’s seminar on “Prevention/Fight Against Violent Extremism”, organized by the Regional Cooperation Council and the National Committee for Countering Violent Extremism and Counterterrorism.
