VMRO-DPMNE MPs Quit Parliament Debate

MPs of the VMRO-DPMNE and the For Better Macedonia coalition at a joint coordination meeting on Wednesday decided to quit the ‘futile debate’ taking place in Parliament.  “The parliamentary group has concluded that everything has been said and that there is no need for the debate to continue regarding the proposed constitutional changes and the Prespa Agreement, which has been rejected by the people in a referendum. At the same time, the MPs of VMRO-DPMNE and the For Better Macedonia coalition urge also the MPs of the ruling majority to cancel their speeches and to begin voting on the government motion on constitutional changes,” VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release. According to the press release, the MPs will not endorse initiating changes to the Constitution. Parliament for a third day in a row debates the constitutional changes proposed by the government.
