Parliament Rejects Request to Put Draft Amnesty Law on Agenda

On Friday, Parliament rejected the request from VMRO-DPMNE parliamentary group coordinator Nikola Dimovski for the party’s draft law to pardon persons charged, suspected and convicted in the case concerning the 27 April 2017 attacks to be part of the 65th session. “Six-seven laws in a shortened procedure about which we weren’t informed have become part of the agenda, but our draft law isn’t being put,” the VMRO-DPMNE coordinator pointed out. According to Micevski, if parliamentarians from the ruling structure support his party’s draft law, the government will show that the intention is to truly work in the direction of reconciliation.
