Tzanakopoulos: Majority for adoption of Prespa Agreement secured

The Spokesperson of the Greek Government Dimitris Tzanakopoulos said in an interview for Greek radio “Real FM” that he believes the Greek Parliament has the necessary majority for ratification of the Prespa Agreement. “Concerning the recent statements of Zoran Zaev about the language, I must say that this is a very difficult battle of his, which he conducts in an atmosphere full of nationalism, and to some extent even chauvinism. I believe that if someone at least tries to read the Prespa Agreement, they will realise that no room for either political or legal irredentism in the neighbouring country. Because of this, we must not allow nationalistic reactions to distant us from our goal and taking this historic chance to resolve the name issue once and for all time,” Tzanakopoulos said.
