Trial over Target-Fortress case Continues

The trial over the Target-Fortress case, opened by the Special Prosecutor’s Office, continued on Thursday.  The key witness, Zvonko Kostovski, stated that the wire-tapping devices of the Security and Counter-Intelligence Administration (UBK) were connected to a flat in the yellow building next to Skopje’s Railway Station. According to him, there was constant communication between the computer in the flat in the building and UBK upon a request by then-Fifth Administration Director Goran Grujevski. As he added, the UBK was wire-tapping then-opposition leader and current PM Zoran Zaev under the pseudonym “Zo Za”. Previously, Gjorgji Lazarevski talked in detail about how the wire-tapping activities were being carried out without a court warrant. Among the defendants in this case are former PM Nikola Gruevski and ex-UBK Director Saso Mijalkov.
