Zaev: Ivanov cannot give Abolition to “27 April Parliament Incidents” Convicts

The PM Zoran Zaev commented on the writings by certain media that some of the convicts for the “27 April Parliament Incidents” case have requested amnesty from the President Gjorge Ivanov. “I do not expect such thing to happen, because there is no legal possibility. President Ivanov already granted abolition to defendants in other cases, and after that revoked it, with which he no longer can use the right to pardon persons convicted for crimes against the state,” Zaev said. The PM’s statement follows the reports in some media that relatives of 14 persons convicted in this case have requested President Ivanov to grant them abolition.
