Tsipras: Good opportunity was Opened for name Dispute resolution

According to Greek PM Alexis Tsipras, the early parliamentary elections in his country will, according to plan, be held in October. In an interview with ANT1 TV, he once again dismissed speculations about early elections. Commenting on the Prespa Agreement, the Greek PM said that a good opportunity had been opened for the name dispute to be resolved after 30 years and that his predecessors would have done the same if they had similar circumstances. Tsipras is of the opinion that the provisions from the deal achieved the best possible outcome for Greece. “We used to call people in North Macedonia by the name of their capital, ‘Skopjans’,” the Greek PM is quoted as saying by the ANA-MPA news agency.
