US State Department congratulates Pendarovski on Presidential Election Win

The Macedonian Informative Agency (MIA) and the Greek news agency ANA-MPA signed on Wednesday a cooperation contract for mutual activities against the phenomenon of “fake news”. The contract was signed by the directors of MIA and ANA-MPA, Dragan Antonovski and Mihalis Psilos respectively. “Following the positive developments in the relations between the two countries, i.e. the Prespa Agreement, cooperation is now deepened, so it’s time for the two national news agencies to also take an initiative and bring the two countries closer together, further enhance friendship, and show that cooperation resolves previously unresolvable issues,” ANA-MPA’s Director General Psilos said. “Our goal is the same – verified, accurate information and professional standards. We believe the future is precisely in agency journalism. Given the new provocative trend of constant production of fake news, agencies are definitely the source of fact-checked news,” MIA director Antonovski said.
