Ahmeti and Zaev to hold Meeting Next Week about Announced reshuffle

The Ministers of Education and Science, Arber Ademi and Kreshnik Bekteshi, who are members of DUI, say that the leader of their party, Ali Ahmeti, will make the final decision on whether they will be part of the announced reshuffle. Next week, Ahmeti and PM Zoran Zaev will meet and decide which officials don’t have good results and leave the ruling coalition. Regarding the case launched against him by the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, Bekteshi points out that it is over. “It’s been found that there is no nepotism, but rather it was about a technical mistake. It’s not my job to analyse what work I have done. That is the party organs’ job,” he explains. Ademi shares his stand. According to Zaev, there will be changes also within the frameworks of his party, SDSM. There’s been talk that some mayors, too, will resign. SDSM Vice President and Skopje Mayor Petre SIlegov points out that decisions will have to be made. On Thursday, Branimir Jovanovic said he was leaving his post as Adviser to Finance Minister Dragan Tevdovski. Despite his stand that he has positive impressions, VMRO-DPMNE considers that he is a scapegoat for, “the Government’s bad economic policies”.
