Deputy PM Osmani convinced Macedonia will Start negotaitions

The Deputy PM for European Affairs, Bujar Osmani, stated on Tuesday that he was convinced that this country would enter the second stage after 20-year efforts and start EU negotiations. “We’re working with EU members, with all their dilemmas they have regarding enlargement. And those dilemmas don’t concern us. One cannot find a remark about the work of North Macedonia as far as meeting the criteria is concerned. We’re trying to explain to them that the interest to start this process is much bigger and that the damage of not starting the negotiations is much bigger than not starting them, even in the event of the internal dilemmas and fears that exist in member-states. So, I’m optimistic and I assure you that we will leave no stone and pebble unturned to ensure this country starting negotiations this year,” he said.
