EU Ambassador Zbogar congratulates Macedonia on recommendation

On Wednesday, the EU Ambassador to Macedonia, Samuel Zbogar, congratulated the country on the recommendation for a start of accession negotiations, as well as on its hard work, commitment and “sacrifices you made in the past period”. According to him, the EU’s Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, clearly said the country had used the chance it had been offered and carried out the set ambitious agenda. As Zbogar added, Macedonia  has met all conditions and produced results in several areas, including the judiciary, the rule of law, the fight against corruption and organised crime and intelligence service reform. At the press-conference at the EU Delegation to Skopje, Zbogar also mentioned the “historic” Prespa Agreement and the good-neighbourliness deal with Bulgaria.
