Macedonian, Greek Liaison Offices in Skopje, Athens become Embassies

The Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and the Greek ministry of Foreign Affairs exchanged on Friday official notices which elevate the Liaison Offices of both countries in Athens and Skopje respectively to a level of embassies. “In accordance with Artice 10 of the Prespa Agreement, the Greek Liaison Office in Skopje is elevated to a level of embassy, while the Greek Office of Consular, Economic and Trade Affairs in Bitola is now elevated to a level of a General Consulate. At the same time, the Liaison Office of North Macedonia in Athens is elevated to a level of embassy, whereas the Macedonian Office of Consular, Economic and Trade Affairs in Thessaloniki is now elevated to a level of a General Consulate,” writes the announcement of MoFA.
