FM Dimitrov and Deputy PM Osmani pay Working visit to Paris

On Thursday, Deputy PM for European Affairs Bujar Osmani and FM Nikola Dimitrov paid a working visit to Paris. They had separate meetings with Amelie de Montchalin, State Secretary for European Affairs, at the French Foreign Ministry, and with Clement Beaune, Europe Adviser to President Emmanuel Macron. At the meetings, Osmani and Dimitrov underlined the importance of the latest Progress Report, which precisely reflects the degree of achieved reforms in Macedonia over the past year, and the clearly defined recommendation for a start of negotiations, which confirms “our full readiness for the next stage of this long-lasting process”, the Macedonian Government said in the press-release. The interlocutors exchanged views also on France’s Western Balkans Strategy, which represents a complementary process to the one of integration of the countries from the region into the EU, through support of the reform agenda for sooner implementation of European standards.
