Janeva presents Report on SPO’s work Before Public Prosecutors Council

On Thursday, Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva presented the six-month Report on the work of the Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) before the Council of Public Prosecutors.  After the session, she said the Council’s members were satisfied with the work of the institution she headed, adding that they stated that the document was comprehensive and contained a lot of details. “We talked about the Report, about the challenges facing the SPO and about the new Public Prosecutor’s Office Law. Essentially, they were satisfied. There weren’t some special misunderstandings. They’re satisfied with our work, with the achieved success and with all pre-investigations,” Janeva pointed out. According to her, she will present the document before Parliament, too, if she’s asked to do so. Answering a journalist’s question about the wire-tapped materials posted on El Cheka’s Facebook profile, the Special Prosecutor said they had been publicly released and he was able to download them from YouTube.
