PM Zaev participates in Europa-Forum Wachau

On the third and last day of the Europa-Forum Wachau, held in Goettweig Abbey, PM Zoran Zaev said though Macedonia wasn’t demanding to become an EU member right away, the country wanted to be enabled to open pre-accession negotiations after all invested efforts. The discussion on the last day focused on the Western Balkans’ perspectives regarding its road to full EU integration. As participants, including the EU’s Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, concluded, the credible European perspective is key to the region. According to Zaev, full-fledged EU membership is Skopje’s only alternative.
