The PM Zoran Zaev commented in an interview for Bulgarian news agency BGNES the current stage of the bilateral relations between the two countries. “The Good-neighbourliness Agreement we signed two years ago brought numerous benefits both for North Macedonia and Bulgaria, and put an end to the hatred born from disagreements that poisoned the people in both countries. We signed the Good-neighbourliness Agreement, and now we build friendship and cooperation, and by doing this we show the entire world that the Balkan is an European region, not as some would like to call it, a powder keg,” Zaev says in the interview.
