Karamanlis: Greece still has Right of Veto

The Greek Minister of Transport Kostas Achileas Karamanlis said in an interview for the Greek TV Sky that New Democracy will put efforts into soothing the serious consequences over Greece from the Prespa Agreement. “We cannot rip this agreement like a piece of paper and just throw it away, because it was voted by certain people which are now held accountable for it. New Democracy, even while in opposition, warned the then ruling party SYRIZA of the bad consequences from this Agreement over our country. We cannot annul the Prespa Agreement, but we still have various mechanisms for preventing some of its bad consequences. Skopje is attempting to become a member of the EU, but Greece still has the right of veto,” Karamanlis said.
