Criminal Court: Conditions for Extradition of Morina not met

The Council at the Criminal Court in Skopje adopted on Wednesday a resolution claiming that the conditions for extradition of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) member Tomor Morina to Serbia have not been met. Morina was arrested in Macedonia during the last week of July, by a search warrant from INTERPOL, and official Belgrade has demanded his extradition to Serbia, to be tried for crimes during the Kosovo war back in 1999. From the Criminal Court they inform that the extradition request sent by official Belgrade has now been forwarded to the Supreme Court of Macedonia for further processing, and that Morina will remain in custody in Skopje until the Supreme Court reaches a decision.
