SPO Head Janeva provides Statement to PPOC on “Racketeering” Case

The Head of the Special Public Prosecution (SPO) Katica Janeva went to the Public Prosecution for Organised Crime (PPOC) to provide a statement on the “Racketeering” case. Janeva came to PPOC in a role of a witness, and in presence of a lawyer, and remained in PPOC for around 4 hours. On her way in the building, Janeva briefly said to the reporters she hopes that her statement will accelerate the investigation over this case. On her way out of PPOC, she revealed no details of her statement for the sake of the investigation. “I do not feel guilty. Hopefully, there will be a trial once the investigation is complete and I hope all will be revealed. I came here with a lawyer today because I have the right to a legal advisor in processes like this,” Janeva said on her way out of PPOC. Most interesting for the reporters and the public was the fact that the lawyer that came as legal advisor of Janeva, Stevan Pavleski, is also the lawyer of businessman Cvetan Pandelevski, one of the suspects in the “Empire” case processed by SPO. VMRO-DPMNE reacted to Janeva’s statement. “Obviously Janeva needs a lawyer who can control her testimony, since she is incapable of providing a statement by herself. It is obvious that Vilma Ruskovska from PPOC does not attempt to prosecute the main culprits in this case, and only tries to cover up their tracks,” said Dimce Arsovski from VMRO-DPMNE.
