“La Verita”: Janeva becomes Lightning Rod for Politicians, Judges

The journalist Laris Gaiser from the Italian newspaper “La Verita” came out with new claims in relation to the “Racketeering” case after the arrest of the Head of the Special Public Prosecution (SPO) Katica Janeva on Wednesday. In his text, Gaiser claims that he has further evidence which is to prove the involvement of Macedonian state officials in the “Racketeering” case. “Until this revelation, Janeva seems to be condemned to function as a lightning rod for all those politicians and judges involved in the criminal network for extortion. Everyone can see it now that till our publications with the recordings, these pieces of evidence were not taken seriously by the Public Prosecution for Organised Crime in Macedonia. An evidence plus to all this is the fact that the Macedonian PM Zoran Zaev attempted to discredit our work and mission for search and revealing of the truth. However, according to our information, Zaev often asked from former Justice Minister of Macedonia Blerim Bexheti to influence over certain judicial decisions, like the election of a new president of a very important court in Macedonia,” Gaiser writes.
