The regional water supply line “Studenicani”, which supplies Prilep, Kicevo, Makedonski Brod, Krusevo and other smaller municipalities, affecting over 200.000 people, has largely decreased to under 600 litres per second. The City of Prilep currently reaches only 135 to 220 litres per second, out of the 400 the city spends daily. Prilep Water Supply explain that they make all efforts to compensate with well water in order for restrictions to be avoided and that they collect water at night while the citizens sleep and the consumption is lowered. They appeal to the citizens to save as much water as they can and warn that if the dry weather continues, nobody can truly predict what might happen in the region.
