PM Zoran Zaev is of the opinion that each proposal regarding the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) issue is worthy of attention. “Our goal is to reach a deal,” he said on Monday, after he’d been asked to comment on the proposal filed by VMRO-DPMNE. The PM also stated he didn’t want to engage in negotiations via media, adding that the decision to set up a prosecutor’s office for prosecution of high corruption should be thoroughly considered. The proposal will be considered by the two sides’ working groups. According to Zaev, situations that politics and parties change prosecutors whenever they want and agree on something that’s inadmissible shouldn’t be created. Asked whether there would be a new leaders’ meeting, Zaev said he believed the working groups about the issue would signalise whether the issue would be being resolved with or without party leaders.
