Frckoska: Request to annul Detention measure for Janeva submitted

Former Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva’s lawyer, Irena Frckoska, confirmed on Tuesday that the request to annul the detention measure for her client had been submitted to the Court. The previously-issued 30-day detention measure expires on Friday. The lawyer stated that the request for a milder measure to secure the presence followed Janeva’s dismissal from both the Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) and the Gevgelija Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office. As a guarantee, Janeva has also offered real estate. Frckoska added that the proposal to annul the measure contained also medical documentation about worsened health condition of the former Special Prosecutor. The Prison in Sutka stated that Janeva had been admitted with several chronic diseases, adding that that’s why her condition changed constantly. The retired psychiatrist at the instituton examined her on Thursday, too. Despite the cessation of their mandates, SPO prosecutors are still coming to the building on Frenklin Ruzvelt Street, Sitel TV reported the same day.
