President of Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski met on Monday the Speaker of the Macedonian Parliament Talat Xhaferi. At the meeting, as the Office of the President of Macedonia reports, the interlocutors exchanged opinions and information on current political events in Macedonia, as well as on the preparatory activities for the upcoming snap election scheduled for 12 April 2020. Pendarovski and Xhaferi also discussed the processes for integration of Macedonia in NATO and EU, with both of them expect conclusion of the integration of the country in NATO in the beginning of 2020, and determination of a date for start of the membership negotiations with the EU during the Zagreb summit in March.
