On Tuesday, SDSM leader Zoran Zaev held a meeting with US Ambassador Kate Marie Byrnes. According to the party’s press-release, the Ambassador said Macedonia was stable on its EU and NATO road. In her view, the country should continue, in a committed manner, reforms that are in the interest of citizens. Byrnes is convinced that 12 April will see fair, democratic, and free elections. She once again reaffirmed the stands that her country remains a strong strategic ally of Macedonia. Talking about the process to organise the elections and the caretaker Cabinet’s work, Zaev said Macedonia could organise fair, free, and democratic elections, adding that he believed that that would be the case on 12 April, too.
