US Ambassador Byrnes: Prespa Deal doesn’t Concern Only Name

The Prespa deal doesn’t concern only the name, according to US Ambassador Kate Marie Byrnes. As she said on Friday, it also creates opportunities for people from Macedonia and in the region. The Ambassador added that everyone talking about revising the deal failed to recognise the benefits brought by it. Byrnes made those comments at an event promoting the opening of bilateral offices for youth cooperation between Macedonia and Greece. President Stevo Pendarovski, too, was among the participants. The general message from the event was: Macedonia will join NATO and, one day, become an EU member, too, and people should talk about and be focused on the future.
