President Pendarovski Meets Counterpart Duda in Warsaw

On Tuesday, President Stevo Pendarovski started his visit to Warsaw by meeting his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Duda. At the press-conference after the meeting, Pendarovski described Poland as an important and proven partner and supporter of Macedonia’s road to membership in the EU and NATO. “We continue to work on achieving our strategic goals when it comes to both good-neighbourly policy and the domestic reform agenda. I hope that the support from Poland in this period of time that is very significant to us and the personal support from President Duda will continue further,” he stated. As far as the NATO road is concerned, Pendarovski expects the ratification in Spain to be completed next month. Duda expressed support for a swift ЕУ integration process. After the meeting, the two countries’ delegations held a plenary meeting at which the honest friendly relations and political dialogue was confirmed. Pendarovski also met Sejm (lower house) Speaker Elzbieta Witek and Senate (upper house) Speaker Tomas Grodzki.
