Osmani and Dimitrov Hold Meeting with Grlic-Radman

Deputy PM for European Affairs Bujar Osmani and Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov held a meeting with the latter’s Croatian counterpart, Gordan Grlic-Radman, in Zagreb on Thursday. The Croatian Minister said Macedonia belonged in the EU, adding that it had deserved to start accession negotiations. Croatia hopes that a decision on that will be made during its EU Presidency. Dimitrov said Macedonia was fortunate that Croatia held the EU Presidency in the current period. According to Osmani, the methodology presented the previous day by Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi represented an excellent basis to provide a strict, politically controlled, and fair negotiations process. European Greens Sec Gen Mar Garcia Sanz, who participated the same day in a tribune on Macedonia’s perspective, believes that Macedonia deserves to start negotiations as well.
