2014 Leak: Office for Organised Crime and Corruption Issues Press-release

The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organised Crime and Corruption said on Friday that four Interior Ministry employees had been summoned in relation to a leak of material from special investigative measures in 2014. The Office took action after it had been notified by the Ministry. The four people, who were at that time responsible for the measures, gave a statement. “Namely, in January of this year, a video was published in certain media that is material evidence obtained by applying special investigative measures,” the Office said. The Interior Ministry, it was added, in direction of determining the responsible persons and shedding light on the matter, analysed the published material, after which it notified the Prosecutor’s Office for further action. The four people’s telephones have been taken away. There will be expertise. The crime they possibly committed is disclosing an official secret (Article 360 of the Criminal Code).
