Spasovski Inspects Start of Government’s Curfew Measure

The President of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, Oliver Spasovski, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Slavjanka Petrovska and the Director of the Public Security Bureau, Saso Tasevski, on Sunday inspected several police posts shortly after the Government’s decision was adopted to restrict citizens’ movement on the whole territory of the country between 21:00 and 06:00 hours. “This is the moment when for the first time in history we introduce limited movement for citizens in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. You all know that nowadays nothing is the same, in such circumstances the behavior is extraordinary and responsible. Citizens need to respect the measure and the instructions by the authorized police officers. The responsibility is on us all. It does not only fall on the healthcare, police, army, but this measure should be respected by all citizens. The more responsible we are, the more responsive we will be in dealing with this whole situation. I want to thank the health workers, all the police officers, the Army, the firefighters, the sanitation workers, the journalists. We are all on the front line in the battle for health and for the lives of the citizens. I want all of us to be united, to respect the decisions of the institutions, to stick together and stay healthy and win this battle,” reads the Government press-release.
