President Stevo Pendarovski has declared a new state of emergency, lasting 14 days, due to the COVID-19 crisis. As he said following the Security Council session on Friday, the reason for that is the implementation of the economic-social measures. Pendarovski added that he had consulted multiple experts. Relevant institutions are working in a coordinated manner, while the situation has improved, according to him. The President also said it was evident that Macedonia was dealing with the crisis caused by the coronavirus well. The second state of emergency ends on 16 May. Previously, at its session, the Government had assessed that the state of emergency should be extended by another 30 days.
