“We Albanians dreamt of freedom, of equality, and we fought for this dream to become a reality. When we believe in something, we’re ready to sacrifice everything,” DUI leader Ali Ahmeti said on Wednesday, talking about his proposal for Macedonia’s next PM to be an ethnic Albanian. As he added, today, more than ever, Albanians in Macedonia hold high positions. In that regard, Ahmeti mentioned the Parliament Speaker and the Presidents of the Supreme and Constitutional Courts. “However, this is nonetheless not enough. It’s now time for the dream to continue. North Macedonia is a country of ours. A country for which we fought. The dream of full equality. This is a national Albanian cause. This is our national dream. The dream of full equality, the dream of a society that puts words into actions,” the DUI leader stressed.
