Sekerinska: Germany Offers Treatment for Macedonian COVID-19 Patients

At Thursday’s meeting of NATO defence ministers, the Operational Plan of the Alliance for Coordinated Action in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic was adopted, informed the Minister of Defence Radmila Sekerinska. With the new plan, as she pointed out, the reaction of the Alliance and the member states will be even faster and more efficient and will enable critical assistance to reach those who need help the most. She said other decisions had been made at the meeting, namely that the NATO Alliance was creating a joint fund to cover the urgent needs of member states and a fund to be used to procure and provide medical equipment, as well as transport equipment to patients and healthcare professionals. It has been agreed that a supply of medical equipment will be created within the Alliance, for which NATO has already started the initial preparations. These supplies, the Minister said, would include funds from the allies, donations and equipment which will be procured through the Fund, and would be used for the needs of all members of the Alliance.
