Borders with Serbia and Kosovo Remain Open

The borders with Kosovo and Serbia remain open for the time being, the Government will not discuss nor decide on the issue in the upcoming period, despite the significant growth of new cases in both countries. Although expected, the Infectious Diseases Committee, unofficially, due to the division of members’ opinion after Friday’s meeting did not submit a recommendation to close the borders. “The situation in these two countries will be monitored and additional information will be awaited,” said Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski. The Infectious Diseases Committee says they have failed to build a common opinion, and will leave the final decision on the borders with Serbia and Kosovo to the government.
